Thermage™ Thermacool TC from Thermage is now available for many facial tightening uses. This recent FDA-approved non-surgical procedure, seen on Oprah and featured in many women’s magazines, is being called the "non-surgical face-lift." It can eliminate the need for a brow lift, reduce jowls and neck laxity, tighten and lift skin around the eyes, and significantly improve the lower facial areas.

ThermaCool uses a radio frequency system which causes thinned and flattened collagen to contract and tighten. The procedure is fast and requires no recovery period. Facial Fillers and Injectables

BOTOX® Injections - Botox Cosmetic is a potent substance temporarily disables the muscles of your forehead, which when flexed can create an angry or upset appearance. It is also used around the eyes to prevent or minimize "crow's feet" — those tiny lines radiating out from the outer corners of our eyes. This treatment takes about 3 days to be fully effective and it lasts for about 4 to 6 months. It can be done quickly in the office. View before|after photos.

Radiesse® - Radiesse is an FDA-approved filler consisting of calcium hydroxyappetite in a gel matrix. Moderate to deep skin folds around the mouth (not the lips) can be filled with this long lasting injectible available in the cosmetic surgery and skin spa. Local anesthesia and topical anesthesia is used to decrease the discomfort experienced with injection of this revolutionary product. View before|after photos.

Restylane® - Restylane is another FDA-approved injectable for the improvement of wrinkles around the mouth and face. Used for more than 20 years in Europe, it was approved for use in this country in December of 2003. Restylane is hyluronic acid in the form of a crystal-clear gel. Dr. Hamori first numbs the areas to be treated, then simply injects the gel to plump up the lips, or lines around the mouth and nose as well as "crow's feet" and lines between the eyes. Juvéderm™ - Juvéderm is a long-lasting nonanimal-sourced hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal filler that helps smooth facial wrinkles and folds. The special properties of this injectable is that it lasts about 7 to 9 months in the naso labial fold. Swelling and bruising are also less obvious with this filler.

Prevelle™ - Similar to Restylane and Juvéderm, Prevelle is a nonanimal-sourced hyaluronic acid (HA) for use in eliminating finer facial lines. This filler contains Lidocaine, a local anesthetic, which helps reduce the pain of injection.

Sculptra® - Sculptra is an injectable product that restores and corrects the signs of facial fat loss by replacing lost volume. Also known as "poly-L-lactic acid," it is synthetic, and biocompatible (does not harm the body) and biodegradable (able to be broken down by the body). It does not require a skin test. Poly-L-lactic acid has been widely used for many years in dissolvable stitches, soft tissue implants, and other types of implants.

Cosmoplast®/Collagen treatments - We offer both Cosmoplast (human dermal source) and Zyplast (bovine dermal source), FDA-approved collagen fillers, for plumping thinned lips, and filling lines around the mouth and other facial grooves and/or scars. For your comfort, a topical anesthetic can be applied to the area being injected. These fillers contain xylocaine, also for your comfort. A procedure takes less than 10 minutes and results are immediate. More than one treatment may be necessary to achieve results that can last up to 4 months. Before your first treatment, Dr. Hamori will perform a test for a possible allergic reaction.

Face and Neck Surgical Procedures

Brow Lift - Droopy lateral eyebrows can give you a sad or aged appearance and can be treated with a browlift (frequently done in conjunction with an eyelid lift). The procedure is done under anesthesia and takes about 1.5 hours. The only incisions made for this procedure are in your hair-bearing scalp. Recovery is about 2 weeks.

Eyelid Lift - Blepharoplasty, or an eyelid lift, is the trimming of excess skin and fat around the eye area to achieve a more youthful and rested look. This is often combined with chemical peels to reduce the appearance of wrinkly skin around the eyes. View before|after photos.

Face Lift - A surgical procedure to tighten lax facial skin and muscles by returning them to their youthful position, the face lift often includes removing excess fat and skin, or jowls. All scars are hidden well behind your ear. The surgery takes 4 to 5 hours and recovery is two weeks. View before|after photos.

Forehead Lift - This is a minimally invasive surgical procedure which elevates the position of your eyebrows to provide a more youthful appearance. All work is done through a small tube, or "endoscope," requiring only tiny incisions in your scalp with no visible scars. This is also affective for eliminating wrinkles across the forehead and frown lines between the eyes. Think of it as a permanent form of Botox. See Resources & Research for more info.

Lip Augmentation - As you age, your lips become deflated and narrow and can result in an angry or old appearance. Filling substances such as collagen (see above) or dermolagen can be injected into the lips every 3 to 4 months to increase their size and eliminate fine lines. A more permanent solution, but with a much longer recovery time, is dermal graft — a procedure where I place a small amount of your own skin tissue beneath the lip's covering to fill them out. This can be done under local anesthesia in my office.

Neck Liposuction - The removal of fatty deposits beneath the chin done through very small incisions hidden behind the ear lobes. If the skin is lax as well, a facelift or a necklift may be necessary instead.

Otoplasty (Ear Pinning) - This surgical shaping of the ears can make large and prominent ears appear smaller and more cosmetically pleasing. The procedure can be performed on persons of all ages and requires twilight anesthesia. The cartilage is shaped using internal sutures or sculpting techniques and small incisions behind the ears.

Rhinoplasty - (Nose job) In this procedure, the nose is reshaped and sculpted through small nearly invisible incisions just inside the nose. Rhinoplasty is for people who have been in an accident causing a nasal fracture or septal deviation, or for people who are unhappy with the shape of their nose. The procedure is done under light anesthesia and requires no overnight hospital stay. View before|after photos.
