Male Breast Reduction Surgery
Some boys and men are bothered by excess fat and breast tissue know as gynecomastia. They are frequently very self conscious and will not take off their shirts at the beach. A solution is male breast reduction surgery, or subcutaneous mastectomy, a procedure that removes extra breast tissue and fat to give a more sculpted look to the male chest.
There are several techniques used such as liposuction alone, direct areolar tissue reduction surgery with a short peri areolar scar, and full breast reduction surgery with scars around the nipple and along the chest (for very droopy breasts such as those in massive weight loss patients). The full result is usually seen in a few weeks.
